Chaplain's Corner
Hi Legion Family,
Thank you to everyone who came out for the four chaplains program on Tuesday evening!
Special thank you to our Adjutant, Josh Epstein, for all the help setting up and running things. He did a lot single handedly and was incredibly helpful!
Also special thank you to all of our participants:
Chaplain Dov Cohen, US Air Force, who has been incredibly helpful for years to this program, our post, and the veteran community;
Ethan Morse, US Army, who just returned from a deployment and brought a lot of joy to the meeting;
Simonton, US Air Force, who jumped in to help after just joining last meeting and brought lots of laughs;
Bridgette Yaxley, Auxiliary, who comes from a large military family including family members who served in WW1 and 2, Vietnam, and OIF, and her father is a past Legion Commander of post 575 in NY, who brought smiles, joy, amazing family stories, and class;
Milan Morgan of the Riders and our Assistant Sgt at Arms who helped with sound and was a reader, always willing to help how he can;
Rocio Palmero, our Assistant Chaplain, and Navy veteran who is supportive, impactful, and brings joy and camaraderie;
and last but not least,
Chaplain Emeritus Jimmy Weldon and his caretaker for getting us a video of him reading his part of Captain Danielson even from up north where he now lives, and for bringing the joy he always has even through the video of him singing “God Bless America” which we all sang in unison with him again Tuesday evening.
Also we had the honor of having Pink Lady in attendance for the program. Thank you Pink Lady for your support and the smiles you bring just with your presence!
I am so grateful to all of you who came to the program and each of you who helped make it happen. I hope the story and program spoke to you and will change hearts and actions in reflection. It is always an honor to remember and honor these four chaplains and their story.
For anyone who wants to set their heart on the ways of God and on living a life that better reflects and honors Him during Lent (which started this week), or any time, this YouVersion plan 'The Forty-Day Word Fast' may be something worth checking out:

If anyone wants to pray together let us know. You could have a need you want prayer for, or we can be praying for overall needs, our post, our leaders, our city, etc. or all of it. Prayer is good for all of it! God hears!
What would you like the chaplains to offer at the post? We would love to hear what would help you all!
Praying for each of you, for our leadership, and for us as a community. May God make His presence known in your personal lives, in our post, and in our community, and may His shalom, love, and joy be felt in ways like never before. In His mighty, precious, and unmatched Name I pray this prayer.
Blessings and Gratitude,
Donna Callaway, Chaplain
