Membership Minute

Hello, Post 43 members,

As 1st Vice Commander and Chair of the Membership Committee, I wanted to remind you about a few important events coming up next week.

First and foremost, I encourage you to join us for our Social Meeting on Monday, January 9th, at 7 PM. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow members, learn about upcoming events and programs, and get involved in the life of our Post.

Before the Social Meeting, we will also hold a Buddy Check initiative at the Post from 4 PM to 6 PM. As part of this initiative, we encourage all members to reach out to at least one fellow member to check in, see how they are doing, and offer support if needed. This is a simple but powerful way to show that we care about each other and to build a stronger community. I hope you will join me in participating in this important initiative.

Dinner starts at 5:30, so after we’ve done some Buddy Checks, we can sit down for a meal!

In other news, I am pleased to announce that the National Commander will visit our Post on January 22nd. In preparation for this special occasion, we will hold a New Member Orientation at 5 PM on the same day. All new members are invited to attend this event, where you will learn about the history of Post 43, the various programs and activities we offer, and the role of the Legion Families in supporting our veterans. I hope to see you all there.
