1st Vice Vantage : Membership Appreciation
Delise Coleman was invited by LA Supervisor Hilda Solis to recite the VetPledge for the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors on November 7th. During the meeting, Council members were voting to try to work on passing an initiative to help veterans who are in prison maintain their VA disability compensation while incarcerated. They know that many incarcerated veterans are the breadwinners for their families and have dependents, so the income is crucial. They also plan to try and find a way for veterans to transition from incarceration with as many resources as possible to help them regain their independence.
Due to Tom Anderson’s many years of dedicated service to the veteran community on the local/state/national levels, he has been awarded with the following. Tom was invited to the awards ceremony, but not knowing he was an awardee, he attended an American Legion College weekend. Boy was he surprised when the Riverside government office asked him to stop by!
United States President’s Gold Volunteer Service Award
United States Congressional Certificate of Special Recognition
CA State Assembly Certificate of Recognition

CA State Senate MilVet Certificate of Recognition: Veteran Making a Difference
