Greetings Post 43 Family,

First things first, please help me welcome our newest patched rider, Armani Rivera!

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the Bob's Big Boy Fundraiser last month as well as our Labor Day BBQ. We raised a total of $825 and $285 respectively (after reimbursements)!

Our heartfelt thanks goes out to the wonderful people at Bob's who let us continue to let us hold these fundraisers and help us raise money. That being said, we have already started parting with some of that money. Our Chapter voted to help support a local Marine Corp League in Canoga Park by donating $300 towards the cost of a new USMC flag set. Thanks to Chapter 43 Sgt at Arms Dave Austin for bringing their story to our attention. This is why we continue to do what we do. That we may continue to help veterans, their families, and our local community, the State & Nation.

Representatives will also be attending the ALR West Coast Rally at the end of this Month in Hemet, CA. This is an annual Riders event and a great opportunity to meet members of other Chapters in California and learn what they are doing and how they raise awareness of the American Legion.

Chapter 43 has also started working on the creation of an Annual Jimmy Weldon Memorial Ride, starting next year to honor our dear friend and past Post 43 Chaplain Emeritus. More information will be released as we move forward with plans.

Our next meeting will be held at the Post on Saturday, Oct 21st at 10 am. We would love to see you there!
