Our  sincere condolences go out to Jane Austin, Auxiliary Member and former Honorary Commander of Post 43, for the loss of her son, Lance Lott. Information for Lance's Celebration of Life is as follows for anyone who wishes to attend:

The following were nominated for officer positions at our last meeting on April 3rd.

Melissa Card - President
Michele Ortmann - 1st Vice President
Becky Winkleman - 2nd Vice President
Cristina Molina - Secretary
Delia Hernandez - Treasurer

Any additional nominations for these positions will be accepted through Monday, April 17 by e-mailing alaunit43@gmail.com or calling the Post at 323-851-3030. The final vote will be held at our business meeting on Monday, May 1. 

An initiation of new members will also be held in person at the meeting on Monday, May 1. If you have not yet been initiated and wish to participate, please e-mail alaunit43@gmail.com to rsvp if you have not already done so.

ALA's Department Convention is coming up on June 22-25 in Visalia, CA. If you are interested in attending, our Unit reimburses gas plus one hotel night stay if 2 days of the convention are attended. We will elect delegates and alternates at our May1 meeting.
