Legion Theater Update: Construction Underway, Set for March Completion
At long last, major work is underway on the renovation project which will upgrade our auditorium into a beautiful, state-of-the-art theater capable of exhibiting motion pictures in both, 4K digital cinema and traditional 35mm and 70mm film. This is a major milestone for our ambitious project, which heralds a new chapter in the grand history of the Hollywood Post!
In addition to film screenings, we'll be able to host a variety of live performance and civic and educational events that will make the American Legion a valuable cultural and community asset.
For the next several weeks, work will be taking place in the Cabaret Room to work on the new HVAC systems for the theater. This will have the added benefit of remodeling the ceiling in the Cabaret, increasing the ceiling height. The next few meetings will be held in the rotunda of the post clubhouse until work in the Cabaret Room is completed.
