Sample New Theater Chairs to be Unveiled at June 19 Meeting

Two custom manufacturer samples of the new seats for the theater renovation will be unveiled at tonight's meeting. The sample chairs arrived from Figueras International Seating arrived this morning, and members will have a chance to try them out.  The seats are made by the same company who produced the seating for the new state-of-the-art Wolf Theater at the Television Academy in North Hollywood and the seats in the Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House. 

Final Plan Check signoff is expected this week from the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety, and work should be underway shortly.  Due to delays in approvals from the city, the opening of the theater is now not expected until approximately this fall at the earliest, with best estimates looking at grand opening before the year is out.
