What an exciting time to be a part of Post 43! Our membership is growing at a record pace and we are finding more and more ways to serve veterans and the community. We’ve made strides in using modern technology and we are increasing our impact in digital platforms like social media and our new website. As we grow it’s important to remember our foundation in the largest veteran’s organization that was founded on the four: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. Since the last report we’ve held our Department Executive Committee meeting that conducts business at our state level. Our post was also well represented at the 6th area meeting, consisting of the four districts in our vicinity. We are preparing for the election cycle of The American Legion starting with our post nominations that are detailed elsewhere in this publication. In addition to the election of the post officers, we are fast approaching nominations for Delegates to Department Convention. We need high participation from our post members to represent us in Riverside this year. It’s a time of growth in The American Legion and this is a place to have a great impact. If you’re looking for a way to get involved, want to learn what we are doing at the state level and how that impacts the national organization; please consider becoming a delegate to Department convention.
Get nominated at the April 17 meeting. If you are not able to attend, you can self-nominate by phone, email, or have a fellow Legionnaire nominate you!
