Post 43 member, Max Thayer and 40 other volunteers did their part during the Theater Demo Party May 6, 2017. The historic 1929 theater seats were disassembled and old carpet removed to make way for work on the theater renovation project.

RECENT NEWS:
Congratulations to Post 43 member, Nelson Rockford and his son (and prospective member) Max on his graduation from Basic Training at Fort Benning, GA, April 28, 2017. Max has gone on to Cavalry Scout training and has been ordered to 6th STRYKER Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas! Congratulations and best wishes from your Post 43 family. We look forward to welcoming Max as a member soon.
Hollywood Unit 43 of the American Legion Auxiliary hosted a tea May 7, 2017 for 13 young women Unit 43 will sponsor to attend this year's Girls State as delegates in Sacramento. Girls State chair, Tamra Brown and the Auxiliary worked hard to fund scholarships for this powerful program that provides an outstanding and unique educational opportunity for young women of California and instills basic ideals and principles of American government. Pictured here are this year's delegates, alternates, and Girls State alumni from previous years. Congratulations, ladies!
UPCOMING EVENTS:
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Prepare and deliver fresh vegetarian burritos to the homeless population up and down Hollywood Blvd along with donated water and hygiene supplies. Parking Available at Post 43. This is the 1st of many 'Burrito Project' events to come. Burrito Project's objective is to demonstrate how easy it is to become a contributing factor in your community.
